The logo system draws inspiration from the organic forms, textures, and structures found throughout the landscape. By balancing natural elegance with clarity and structure, the identity is designed to feel both educational and inviting, appealing to visitors, researchers, and the broader community. The final mark is adaptable across print and digital applications, ensuring consistency while celebrating the Center's connection to nature.
Process
The design process began with a series of initial sketches exploring logo concepts inspired by elements of nature, including leaves, native plants, and broader ecological cycles. Typography played a key role in shaping the identity, pairing an elegant serif with a clean sans-serif so the system could feel both refined and accessible. From there, the selected concept was refined into a final mark that is scalable and versatile, ensuring it functions effectively across digital platforms, print materials, and on-site signage.
